Hi, everyone!

It’s October 2023 and I can’t believe I’m on my way back to Bali, well known as “the "island of gods”. This is my 7th or 8th visit, so I know Bali and the surrounding islands quite well and I love to always come back. If you were to ask me, "Which is your favorite country you have traveled to? What did you love about it?" I would answer:

I love Bali. Bali is the place where I feel so happy, fulfilled, and connected with myself. About Bali, I love the people. They are so kind, always smiling, and happy. I also love their ceremonies and the energy of this island. If you have ever been there, I guess you know what I mean. And if not, I would definitely recommend it to you.

So, let's begin with this travel blog! My journey began in Germany.

The flight was overall okay and comfortable, and quite quick! We were ( me & my husband) 24 hours on the way, but it felt very fast. We flew from Düsseldorf to Dubai and Dubai to Bali with Emirates. In Dubai, we had about 3 hours to change to the second flight. That was okay. We walked to the other side of the airport and went to the lounge where we had some food, drinks, and rested. During the second flight, we experienced three instances of turbulence, but overall, we slept all the way until 1 hour and 30 minutes before Bali.

Honestly, I'm very happy that everything went so smoothly without any stress!

As we arrived in Bali, the process through immigration was easy. This year, we didn't need to show any vaccination proof. We only needed to pay for the visa and fill out the customs form. Then we picked up our luggage and walked outside the airport. On the way, we stopped at an ATM and bought a SIM card for internet access.

I highly recommend using the airport ATM or using bank ATMs located in banks. Some ATMs in Bali are scams, so be careful.

All of this took about 1 and a half hours! Then our driver was already waiting for us. I highly recommend organizing a driver before arriving in Bali or walking a little bit outside the airport where you can get a Bluebird taxi. Here is the telephone number for my driver in Bali. If you want, just text him Name: Samsul - Bali Driver +62 878-6196-5737. He is very nice, friendly and will drive you wherever you need to go. :)

If you take driver directly from the airport, it will cost you more $$$.

I hope this blog was somewhat helpful and have a pleasant trip to Bali!
