General Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) – Bali Retreats 2026
(Including Payment Structure & Liability Disclaimer)
These General Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern participation in retreats organized and hosted by Martina Schenkl Yoga / YogaFantasy (“Organizer”).
By registering for a retreat, the participant (“Participant”) agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Registration & Booking Confirmation
Registration must be submitted in writing (e.g. via email or online booking form).
A booking becomes legally binding only after written confirmation by the Organizer.
To secure a retreat spot, payment of the non-refundable deposit stated in the booking confirmation is required.
The remaining retreat balance must be paid before the retreat begins.
Participation is confirmed only after all required payments have been received and all requested participant information has been provided.

3. Prices, Payment Terms & Service Structure
The retreat price is divided into two separate payments:
a) Retreat Program Fee
(Yoga, Healing Program, Workshops & Retreat Facilitation)
This fee is paid directly to Martina Schenkl Yoga and invoiced separately.
b) Accommodation & Meals
(Villa, Accommodation, Meals & Local Services)
These services are paid directly to the retreat villa partner.
Each participant will receive a separate invoice from the accommodation provider.
The retreat program and accommodation services are invoiced separately and constitute legally independent agreements.
Martina Schenkl Yoga is not acting as a tour operator and does not sell package holidays.
The retreat price does not include:
Flights
Travel insurance
Visa fees or entry requirements
Additional activities
Personal expenses
Any other travel-related costs
Each participant is responsible for booking their own flights.
All prices are those published at the time of booking.
Any bank or transfer fees are the responsibility of the participant.
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel a booking if payment deadlines are not met.
Participants are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel and medical insurance, including trip cancellation, flight delays, and medical coverage.
Participants are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all visa and entry requirements for Indonesia/Bali.

4. Cancellation by the Participant
All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email is sufficient).
Cancellation policy:
More than 8 weeks before the retreat: Refund minus the non-refundable deposit and administration fee.
4–8 weeks before the retreat: 50% refund minus the non-refundable deposit and administration fee.
Less than 4 weeks before the retreat: No refund.
No refunds will be issued after the retreat has started or if a participant leaves early.
A retreat booking may be transferred to another person before the retreat begins. Any administrative costs resulting from the transfer are the responsibility of the original participant.

5. Changes or Cancellation by the Organizer
The Organizer reserves the right to modify, postpone or cancel the retreat due to force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Illness
Government restrictions
Political unrest
Other events beyond reasonable control
Where possible, participants will be offered either:
A place on a replacement retreat, or
A credit towards a future retreat.
The Organizer is not responsible for reimbursing external expenses such as:
Flights
Insurance
Third-party accommodation
Other travel arrangements
If the lead teacher becomes unavailable, an equally qualified replacement instructor may be appointed.

6. Health, Personal Responsibility & Liability
Participation is entirely voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.
The retreat is not a substitute for medical, psychological or psychiatric treatment.
Participants are responsible for informing the Organizer in advance of any relevant medical conditions, injuries or health concerns.
The Organizer shall only be liable in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
No liability is accepted for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.

7. Nature & Environmental Conditions
The retreat takes place in a tropical environment.
Encounters with insects, animals and natural environmental conditions are considered part of the retreat experience.

8. Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to behave respectfully and mindfully toward fellow guests, staff and the local environment.
The Organizer reserves the right to exclude any participant whose behaviour significantly disrupts the retreat experience.
In such cases, no refund will be issued.

9. Photography, Media & Copyright
All retreat materials, content and teaching resources remain the intellectual property of Martina Schenkl Yoga.
Unless the participant objects in writing before the retreat begins, photographs and videos taken during the retreat may be used for documentation, marketing and promotional purposes.

10. Data Protection
Personal data will be processed exclusively for the administration and organization of the retreat in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The place of jurisdiction, where legally permissible, shall be the registered office of the Organizer.
